Derek Wilson - Chairman

Derek co-founded NeoSpire along with Mitch Gervis, with the understanding that by outsourcing back-end Internet technology, today's companies can better concentrate on their strategy and their market. As the company's chairman, he is responsible for business development.

 

Derek's business background combined with his extensive experience in the Web hosting industry, has enabled NeoSpire to grow into one of the industry's most successful companies. Prior to NeoSpire, Derek was an analyst and Partner in Wings Holdings, the leading partnership of the $4 billion leveraged buyout of Northwest Airlines, and worked in the Strategic Planning Group at Walt Disney. Derek holds an MBA and a BA in Economics from Duke University.

 

Derek serves as Chairman of the North Texas Chapter of the Young Presidents Organization (YPO). He is on the Board of the Center of Entrepreneurship and Innovation at the Fuqua School of Business and serves as Vice President of The Duke University Alumni Association. Derek is also a member of the Dallas Chamber of Commerce, Dallas Museum of Art, Nasher Sculpture Center and Nasher Museum at Duke University.

 

Mitch Gervis - President & CEO

Mitch is Co-founder, President & CEO of NeoSpire. Under his leadership NeoSpire has evolved into an industry leading Managed Hosting provider. NeoSpire brings innovative and highly consultative solutions to companies that have mission critical web-based applications. His ten years of experience running NeoSpire has shaped a highly capable, self-motivated executive, who is dedicated to the customer and the availability and security of their web-based applications.

 

Mitch was ahead of the curve in anticipating the rapid expansion of web-based applications and its importance in virtually every business category. In partnership with Derek Wilson, he co-founded NeoSpire as a customer-centric Managed Hosting services provider for mission critical Web-based applications. Since day one, Mitch has preached the importance of a customer-first culture.

 

Prior to founding NeoSpire, Mitch worked at Chase Manhattan managing relationships with Internet, technology and media companies, including Verio, AOL, PSINet and Interland. Mitch is a member of the Young Presidents Organization (YPO) and the Entrepreneurs Organization (EO). Mitch holds an MBA from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University and a BA in Business Administration from Tulane University.

 

Jim Ciampaglio - COO

Jim has a proven record as a high-tech executive with over nineteen years of experience.  At NeoSpire, Jim is responsible for the global operations and delivery of the NeoSpire’s hosting solutions.  With a primary focus on growing revenues, Jim has created and implemented strategic sales initiatives on a local, regional and national level. 

 

Jim joined NeoSpire from NaviSite where he  served as Vice President of Sales for the Shared and Dedicated Hosting business unit.  Prior to Navisite, Jim served five years with NTT/Verio as their Senior Director of Sales, where he was responsible for the Retail Sales Team, the viaVerio Indirect Sales Channel, Professional Services, Sales Engineering and Sales Support.  Jim’s sales teams were located in three offices throughout the country and demonstrated consistent growth and success in expanding Verio’s world-wide footprint.  Jim holds a Bachelor degree from Loyola College of Baltimore, MD.

 

Sean Bruton - Director of Security

Sean drives the ongoing development of security initiatives and managed hosting services for NeoSpire. He joined the company in late 2000 and has served a variety of strategic and technology roles throughout the company’s growth. Sean was instrumental in reinventing NeoSpire as a pioneer of the fully managed hosting market.

 

Sean brings to NeoSpire and its clients over 10 years of web experience. Before joining NeoSpire, Sean honed his skills as a technology consultant in the fast-paced world of technology start-ups.

 

Jason Burnett - Director of Network Services

Jason oversees the people and the systems that make up NeoSpire’s core network and systems infrastructure, ensuring the highest level of service for our customers. From Pre-Sales Engineering to Senior System Administrator, he has worked in several technical capacities for NeoSpire since 1999. Most recently, Jason was one of the leading forces in developing new ways to further strengthen our managed service offerings.

 

Jason has wide ranging skills that encompass all major operating systems and databases in addition to expertise in Tomcat, JBoss, and Weblogic. He recently obtained his MySQL High Availability Certification and specializes in Linux and MySQL. Prior to joining NeoSpire, he built data centers and worked as a system administrator while serving in the U.S. Marine Corps.

 

Joy Thao P. Hays - Director of Marketing & Public Relations

Joy has responsibility for all NeoSpire marketing efforts, which includes branding, market analysis, perception improvement, introductions, and demand creation. She is also responsible for coordinating the product-definition and product marketing functions across NeoSpire.

 

Prior to coming to NeoSpire, Joy was VP of North America for e-Datacollect and Director of Marketing and Sales for Applied Practice. Joy holds a BBA in Marketing with an International Emphasis and minors in Computer Science and Japanese from Texas Christian University. She also has a MS in E-Commerce from the University of Texas at Dallas.

 

Lori Lomax - Director of Human Resources and Billing

Lori joined NeoSpire in December 2007 to oversee all areas of Human Resources functions and to manage, monitor and report all areas of finance criteria associated with contractual obligations.

 

Prior to joining NeoSpire, Lori spent 15 years as head of HR and Billing at the Carrington Dental Corporation in Northern California. She holds a BBA from California State University-Hayward.

 

Brad Kent - Regional Manager, Atlanta Office

Brad has built a national corporate sales group to aggressively sell managed services, dedicated servers, and application hosting to growing Internet-centric companies and the high-end of the enterprise market. Brad is an industry expert and has ten years experience selling managed services and dedicated servers.

 

He earned his BA as a graduate of Southern Methodist University.
